Forgot to give this one a title

1. I started to clean yesterday (inspired by my husband who cleaned his side of the room on Friday!) and ended up taking pictures off of walls, patching holes with spackle, doing touch-up painting in the dining room/living room, and cleaning out space in the basement.

Two full trash bags and three trips out to the recycling bin later...I wasn't near finished. I vacuumed, resisted the urge to clean out the coat closet (might do that today), and did my laundry. The combination of house guests coming and being pregnant has hit - it took all of my strength not to paint the stairwell and REpaint the bathroom. Not kidding.

2. The Colts lost to the Patriots last night. Not only that, but they lost because Manning threw 3 picks in the game - that is for a season total of 7...he almost doubled his season total during this game. Not fun, especially when your husband is a Patriot fan. Ick.

There is always next year - yes, I'm writing this year off already - and maybe Manning should take it easy for the rest of the year and we'll come back 110% next year when half of the team isn't hurt.

3. My smaller hound is having issues, which is causing me to have issue. R wakes up at 6:56am every day, no matter what and begins to FREAK OUT as if someone is stabbing him in the face. Then, once let out to 'do his business' he won't go back to sleep. If he keeps this up, someone might give him a reason to FREAK OUT...

The amount of exercise he gets is more than the average hound, and it doesn't matter how much water he drinks, or what time he goes to bed. There aren't even any noises that we can pinpoint that would wake him up. THERE ARE ALSO TWO OTHER DOGS SLEEPING PEACEFULLY BESIDE HIM WHO SEEM TO BE FULLY CAPABLE OF SLEEPING PAST 7AM.

4. I am hungry all of the time. We need to finalize our Thanksgiving menu, we then need to go to the store to purchase the necessary items. This could be disastrous. I may have to send Frank all by himself for fear that I'll forget to buy a turkey but remember to buy cookie dough.

5. I've never been one to have dry skin issues or use lotion on a regular basis. This has changed, and now I am applying generous amounts of lotion to my belly every night before bed and every morning after I shower. My legs and hands have also decided that they thirst for lotion, so that is a fun new routine for me.

6. That is all for now, maybe there will be more insanity later...stay tuned.

Status: 22 weeks, 2 days pregnant. 17 weeks, 5 days to due date.

I'm Excited About: Cleaning

This isn't exciting. I'm excited about cleaning and doing some yard work this weekend.

Frank is traveling to Atlantic City for a bachelor party, so the boys and I are kicking it at the house by ourselves this weekend.

They sleep a lot, therefore it is an excellent opportunity to get some serious laundry and cleaning accomplished. (I feel like this exact scenario has played out before...)

So, I'm excited about cleaning - and I'm sorry that it isn't exciting for anyone else.

Wordless Wednesday, Fail

I was going to start "Wordless Wednesday" this week, and I even had an awesome selection of pictures to choose from....but, the internet is down at home and I can't load pictures on my phone or at work.

Sorry.

I'll try to load them again today, but for now just picture my dog wearing sunglasses and a 8 week old baby chillin' on my lap.

Our friends, the Connallys, came over to hang last night which meant lots of treats for Hamilton - to keep him occupied - and lots of baby lovin' time for me! Their little Ayden is 8 weeks old now, I can't believe how quickly time has flown!

We also did some major cleaning and lawn-mowing yesterday in preparation for our trip to the beach tomorrow. I do love coming home to a clean house!

Spring Means

1. Baseball - The Webb family celebrates baseball the way that America's Favorite Past Time deserves to be celebrated. We go to games, we watch as many games on TV as we can, sometimes we even plan vacations to include a visit to new (to us) parks. According to MLB.com, there are 7 days until Opening Day - a national holiday if you ask us.

2. Cleaning - (sorry, Mom) but I love spring cleaning. For us it includes shifting our wardrobes, getting rid of things we didn't wear, organizing closets, cleaning floors, opening windows, and a few trips to Goodwill to drop off our excess 'stuff.'

3. Gardening - I have my humble window boxes and soon I'm hoping to have a plan for them. They will either be in a window, on a stand, or possible transferred into straw bales (crazy idea, if it pans out I'll be sure to document it). This year, gardening will also include 'lawn care.' Frank has decided to put some effort into our lawns so that we don't end up with dust and mud like so many others. Lucky for us, Hamilton isn't into digging or running with enough speed to tear up grass. That will make lawn care easier, and worth it.

4. Sunshine - Frank and Hamilton already make good use of our back yard and patio areas. I'm looking forward to spending more time out there in the sunshine. We're hoping to add a grill and maybe even a furniture set so we can dine al fresco when the temperature allows. I also love that we've already done the 'spring forward' bit so the sun stays out longer, making it more fun to have friends over for impromptu back yard happy hours.

5. Celebrations - our anniversary, Easter, and my birthday are all spring time events in our house. Such a treat!


I love spring time! It is such an exciting thing to celebrate, especially following the long, cold winter we had this year.

The Mountains Win Again

Only by "mountains" I mean mountains of boxes. They are beginning to take over my life. After 10 days of casual packing, this is what our home looks like.

Casual packing, in case you don't know, is the kind of packing that happens around the rest of your life at a relaxed pace. It occurs as a way to avoid the chaos of frantic packing up against the deadline of moving.

My hope is to not discover any full cabinets on moving day. So far I'm doing pretty well - a few empty bookshelves, some empty cabinets, and TWO empty linen closets!

I've done lots of laundry, lots of dishes, and I've managed to come down with a cold/soar throat/winter crud. I'm optimistic that I'll be able to do a little more packing today, but I may lay low and just focus on work and rest.
